Songbird Garden Design, LLC is a local, experienced Southern California Landscape Design Company run by Mary Elizabeth Jacobsen, owner and sole proprietor. Established in 2013 Songbird specializes in alternatives to high water usage landscapes with more sustainable options while satisfying the look residential and commercial property owners desire.
Mary Elizabeth is a graduate of Syracuse University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Business and enjoyed a successful career in the entertainment industry for many years. Relocating to Southern California in 2009, she attended Pierce College, School of Horticultural and Landscape Design, earning her a Design Scholarship and Advanced Gardener Certification.
Mary Elizabeth is a member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD), a national accredited organization that promotes its members as qualified and dedicated professionals who uphold a code of ethics to practice advanced, thoughtful and innovative landscape design, foster creativity and inspire passion for excellence. She is also a long standing member of the Theodore Payne Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the understanding, preservation and use of California native flora, as well as a member of the American Horticultural Society and one of the Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency recommended professional contacts for the SCV Landscape Design Assistance Program.
